Wooden furniture, floors, stairs and decorations are used for their elegant appearance not only in the interiors of our homes, but also in gardens and industry. Thanks to its structure, however, the wood is very quickly exposed to effect of water, sunlight, fungi and mold which in short time means a faded appearance, fading and gradual decomposition. Such wood not only looks ugly and has an ugly impression, it is also much harder to maintain. Dirt gets and sticks directly into the structure of the wood and it becomes literraly impossible to clean them.
The patented technology creates an invisible breathable membrane on the surface, which nourishes the wood, strengthens its structure and protects it from aging. The nanolayer does not let water droplets to soak in, thus it protects the wood from moisture, the spread of fungi and molds that normally attack it. The UV filters contained in the polish also prevent the penetration of sun rays and delay the fading process. The product contains nourishing additives as well which, thanks to the membrane, stay in the structure, and the wood thus retains its natural appearance for much longer than when treated with conventional oil and wax-based products. Applications of nanocosmetics
Application of the products is not complicated at all. You only need to follow the 4 steps. The surface must be thoroughly cleaned and degreased on the first place. Then apply a protective polish, leave on for 5 minutes and then polish with a cloth. Always read the relevant instructions in the package.
Surface maintenance after application
Surfaces treated with Pikatec nanocosmetics are smoother, much more resistant to damage and for their maintenance just a dry or moistened microfiber cloth is sufficient. With that you will be able to wipe off all dirt easily, the treated surfaces will always look like new and you will not need any other harmful chemicals to clean them. How to clean properly?
Instructions for use
Application: Shake the product well before use. Apply on dry, cleaned, sanded or degreased surfaces. Depending on the size of the area, the protective polish can be applied to the wood by gradual spreading with an application cloth or microfiber pad. For larger areas and less smooth surfaces, the product can be applied by painting or spraying. However, it is always important to apply only a thin layer of the product, which is "absorbed" into the structure of the wood and creates an impermeable membrane on its surface. After applying, leave on for about 1 hour and check the applied on area. If there are some places on the wood into which the polish has soaked in completely , apply thin layer of product on that area once more. If, on the other hand, there is too thick layer at some areas of the wood it is necessary to polish this part with a microfiber cloth.
When treating old or overdried wood, we recommend applying allways two or even more coats as needed. Always apply additional layers only after the first application has hardened completely, ie. after 12h. Should you apply the following layer earlier, you would in fact still apply the one coat, just thicker, which is undesirable in terms of bonding and hardening the polish to the surface. Before application of each layer, check that the surface is clean, especially on surfaces that are exposed to external influences. The last phase is polymerization, when the protective polish hardens about 12 hours after applying the last layer and it obtains the final strength and flexibility.
One to two weeks after application, it is advisable to wash the surface by hand with warm water with the concentrate of the Universal Cleaner Nano Clean Home. This removes left over greases which the protective polish additionally removes from the surface (so-called emulsifiers) and which can reduce the water-repellent effect until removed.
- The protective polish is also used on wood treated with various oils. For these surface treatments, however, we recommend waiting with the application until the oil stops working, resp. until the surfaces begin to change their appearance. The nanoparticles exclude grease from the structure of the protected material, so if we treated the oiled wood earlier, it could happen that for a long time we will have to wash these greases in the form of various oil coatings from the surface. If this happens, we recommend cleaning the surfaces with hot water with the Universal Cleaner - Nano Clean Home concentrate, or locally with the help of the Nano Clean Surface. In extreme cases, with a strong concentration of oil in the wood, it is necessary to wipe the surface continuously with Nano Activator.

U takto zatěžovaných ploch doporučujeme dřevo na závěr ošetřit krycí politurou Superstructure, která je extrémně voděodpudivá, povrch dřeva ještě více uzavře a při zachování prodyšnosti, ještě více oddálí proces jeho „degradace”. Aplikaci krycí politury doporučujeme vyzkoušet na malé a méně viditelné ploše povrchu, abyste měli možnost zhodnotit výsledný vizuální efekt. Politura Superstructure může vytvářet mírně lesklý vzhled.
- V případě, že ošetřujeme dřevo lakované, jedná se o ochranu lakovaného povrchu. Nepoužíváme tedy ochranu na dřevo, ale přípravek Nano Protect Painted Surface - Ochrana lakovaných povrchů.
